The Guildhall Portsmouth's Harlequin Rooms brand new Look! Studio Refurbishment Completion.
Works for the Portsmouth Guildhalls new 15 million renaissance development project first phase is now complete. Renovations began by H.Monfared Commercial (Builders) in early November 2018. The new studio which was the old ‘Harlequin Room’ is now a 185 seated/250 standing capacity space, creating a very much needed multipurpose facility which will be used to support emerging talent across the region. The space will support emerging talent across the region, develop diversified arts, provide an accessible hub for artists and support local community groups and well as being a new conference facility.
H.Monfared (Builders) Limited have managed to refurbish the entire space directed by designer Mr Wayne Hemmingway, works included a beautiful new color scheme to modernize the entire space. The old harequin room boasted of listed features which have been kept within the new design yet modernised in bold blue colours.
Works carried out out by H.Monfared (Builders) Limited have included the whole rooms redecoration, including laying brand new flooring, repair windows, paint all the regal ceiling, creating brand new door structures and create four archways. The project took over 2 months to complete.
